Do you have what it takes to carve the spookiest Jack-O-Lantern on this side of Route 30? Prove it! The 11th Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest will be held at Compass Inn Museum on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Families and individuals are encouraged to participate. Design it, carve it, and display it. There is no fee to enter.

CONTEST RULES: 

-Pumpkins may only be carved.

-All submissions must be free-standing.

-Only battery-operated flameless candles are permitted.

-Compass Inn Museum reserves the right to refuse any entry.

Pumpkins entered into the contest will be displayed and judged by popular vote during “Haunted Halloween Tales” Tours. Winners will be announced on Sunday, October 25, 2026.

Prizes for each age group: 

1ST- $75 

2ND- $50 

3RD- $25 

~ Winners will also receive two free tickets to  “Haunted Halloween Tales” Tour on Sunday, October 25. ~

Please drop off your ghouliest gourd between Noon and 4:00 pm Friday, October 23 & 10 AM to Noon on Saturday, October 24th at Compass Inn Museum. Although pre-registration is encouraged, walk-in submissions on October 23 & 24th will be accepted.
