Designed for scout groups, schools, and other youth groups, Compass Inn Museum becomes a living mystery after dark. From 6 PM to midnight, guests step into a candlelit 19th century Stagecoach Inn where every room, artifact, and shadow may hold a clue. This immersive nighttime experience invites visitors to investigate the past as active participants rather than observers.
What to Expect:
Candlelit exploration — Explore the Inn’s rooms and outbuildings with a docent, guided only by flickering light and your curiosity.
Interactive historical quests — Participants will follow clues, solve period mysteries, and investigate life in the early 19th century.
Hands-on historic crafts — Try your hand at traditional skills and crafts that reveal how travelers and innkeepers lived and worked.
Hearthside demonstrations — Experience the sights and smells of authentic open-hearth cooking.
Late-night revelations — As midnight approaches, gather to share findings and unravel the mystery together.
