Compass Inn Museum is located in Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands Region, approximately 50 miles east of Pittsburgh, on US Route 30, 3 miles east of Ligonier Pennsylvania.
From Washington DC
Follow I-270 North to I-70 West to Breezewood. Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76 West) to Exit 91 Donegal. Upon exiting Pennsylvania Turnpike, turn left on Route 31 for 1/4 mile. Turn left on Route 711 North for 12 miles. At the intersection of Routes 711 and 30 (traffic light) make a right turn on Route 30 East, travel approximately 3 miles. The Historical Society’s Hall House Headquarters Building is on the right (second house past the Laughlintown Post Office).
From Cleveland/Pittsburgh
Follow the Pennsylvania Turnpike East to Exit 67 Irwin/North Huntingdon. Follow Route 30 East to Ligonier (approximately 27 miles). At the intersection of Routes 711 and 30 (traffic light) make a right turn on Route 30 East, travel approximately 3 miles. The Historical Society’s Hall House Headquarters Building is on the right (second house past the Laughlintown Post Office).
From Bedford
Follow Route 30 West for approximately 47 miles. The Historical Society’s Hall House Headquarters Building is on the left (first house past Compass Inn Museum).
From Johnstown
Follow Route 271 South to Route 711 South. Travel 1/2-way around the Ligonier Diamond (Bandstand) onto South Market Street. At the intersection of Routes 711 and 30 (traffic light) make a left turn on to Route 30 East, travel approximately 3 miles. The Historical Society’s Hall House Headquarters Building is on the right (second house past the Laughlintown Post Office).
