An Honest Day’s Work: Dirty Jobs of the 18th & 19th Centuries
Walk in, be amazed, amused, and educated will visiting the “Honest Day’s Work” Children’s Museum, the “Cabinet of Curiosities,” and fun games for all ages that enlighten about the “Canting Language,” and the life of the lower part of society. . . . some of the folks that might come begging at Compass Inn. You will not want to miss visiting with first-person interpreters Parson John and Maggie as they bring to life the lowest parts of society in a way that is safe, approachable, historical, and suited for all ages.
Tours of the historic inn and outbuildings as well as cooking and blacksmith demonstrations, and children’s activities are part of your admission fee.
General admission is $14 for adults, $12 for adults (62+), and $10 for youth (6-18). Tickets for the living history event can be purchased on-site, on the day of the event.
