Ligonier Valley Historical Society’s Compass Inn Museum will host our ever-popular Harvest Candlelight Tour of the early 1800s stagecoach Inn on Saturday, November 11th from 4-8 pm. Admission prices: $14 for adults; $12 for adults 62+; $10 for youth (6-17); and Free- Children 5 & under, Members, and Active Military.

Celebrate with us another bountiful harvest at the historic Compass Inn Museum. Feel the warmth of the inn’s rustic charm while adorned with natural autumn accents, cheery glowing wood fires, and the flickering of candles in every room.

Throughout the docent lead, candlelit tour, you will enjoy and experience what life was like in the evenings during the early 19th century. When you visit the cookhouse, you will step back in time with Compass Inn Museum’s masters of open hearth and beehive oven cookery where your senses will be treated to the sights and smells of scrumptious food being prepared, using recipes and ingredients inspired by the harvest and the cuisine of the 18th and 19th centuries.

You will also hear stories of the history of our current-day Thanksgiving celebration. And, finally do not miss the visiting with our blacksmiths as they demonstrate their craft.
